Why Every Nintendo Fan NEEDS To Buy 1-2 Switch

 1-2 Switch is the only Switch exclusive launch title developed by Nintendo. If that and the fact that it actually looks like a pretty fun time don't sell you, I know what might. When presented with this information, your perception on the necessity of 1-2 Switch very well may change. The reason you should buy this game is because of the Switch itself.

 I'll get to that in a second. First, let's look at the launch of the Nintendo Switch. The games confirmed to be releasing are Breath of the Wild, 1-2 Switch, Just Dance 2017, Skylanders Imaginators, World of Goo, Binding of Isaac, Little Inferno, Super Bomberman R, I Am Setsuna, and Human Resource Machine. While many of these may end up being really good games, they've almost all already been released on other consoles, or will do so simultaneously with the Switch release. The only "made for Switch" games here are Super Bomberman R...and 1-2 Switch.

 Super Bomberman R looks okay, but with Konami's track record these last few years, I expect very little more than a shoddily made cash grab once we get our hands on it. The only other game to really be able to judge the Switch on is, perhaps unfortunately, 1-2 Switch.

 Listen, I understand that 1-2 Switch is far from what the Nintendo fanbase, but games like that just work. Wii Sports and its followup Wii Sports Resort sold like crazy. As unfortunate as it is, casual games move sales.

 1-2 Switch might not end up being a very deep experience, but it does actually look like a pretty fun game to play with friends. The mini-games are silly, sure, but who doesn't love to laugh? 1-2 Switch might not be the best possible launch game, but why not give it a shot?

 Besides, there's one more reason that you need to get 1-2 Switch. It looks to be the only way to truly use the Switch in all of its intended ways. Do you expect Bomberman to be using HD Rumble or IR sensors any time soon? Well, at least we know 1-2 Switch will.

 If you've been one of many who has greatly anticipated the Switch, one of the people that constantly refreshed social feeds to learn new information, 1-2 Switch is the game for you. This game has "Switch" in the title for a reason. It's the Switch-iest game of all.

 1-2 Switch seems to use all of the Switch's features. It's built around the core ideas of the Switch, and especially the core ideas of the Joy-Con. You can use HD Rumble to feel how many items are digitally rolling around inside the Joy-Con. You can use the IR sensors to...eat food? Nobody said this game isn't weird.

 That's besides the point. 1-2 Switch is the only real Switch game. Chances are, this will be the only game for a while that uses HD Rumble and other features, until probably ARMS.

 I know that, as a journalist, I need to get this game. Not only is it a first-party Nintendo game, reviewing the Switch would be impossible without it. If you've been looking forward to the Switch, you need to get 1-2 Switch.
