Why Every Nintendo Fan NEEDS To Buy 1-2 Switch

1-2 Switch is the only Switch exclusive launch title developed by Nintendo. If that and the fact that it actually looks like a pretty fun time don't sell you, I know what might. When presented with this information, your perception on the necessity of 1-2 Switch very well may change. The reason you should buy this game is because of the Switch itself.

I'll get to that in a second. First, let's look at the launch of the Nintendo Switch. The games confirmed to be releasing are Breath of the Wild, 1-2 Switch, Just Dance 2017, Skylanders Imaginators, World of Goo, Binding of Isaac, Little Inferno, Super Bomberman R, I Am Setsuna, and Human Resource Machine. While many of these may end up being really good games, they've almost all already been released on other consoles, or will do so simultaneously with the Switch release. The only "made for Switch" games here are Super Bomberman R...and 1-2 Switch.

Super Bomberman R looks okay, but with Konami's track record these last few years, I expect very little more than a shoddily made cash grab once we get our hands on it. The only other game to really be able to judge the Switch on is, perhaps unfortunately, 1-2 Switch.

Listen, I understand that 1-2 Switch is far from what the Nintendo fanbase, but games like that just work. Wii Sports and its followup Wii Sports Resort sold like crazy. As unfortunate as it is, casual games move sales.

1-2 Switch might not end up being a very deep experience, but it does actually look like a pretty fun game to play with friends. The mini-games are silly, sure, but who doesn't love to laugh? 1-2 Switch might not be the best possible launch game, but why not give it a shot?

Besides, there's one more reason that you need to get 1-2 Switch. It looks to be the only way to truly use the Switch in all of its intended ways. Do you expect Bomberman to be using HD Rumble or IR sensors any time soon? Well, at least we know 1-2 Switch will.

If you've been one of many who has greatly anticipated the Switch, one of the people that constantly refreshed social feeds to learn new information, 1-2 Switch is the game for you. This game has "Switch" in the title for a reason. It's the Switch-iest game of all.

1-2 Switch seems to use all of the Switch's features. It's built around the core ideas of the Switch, and especially the core ideas of the Joy-Con. You can use HD Rumble to feel how many items are digitally rolling around inside the Joy-Con. You can use the IR sensors to...eat food? Nobody said this game isn't weird.

That's besides the point. 1-2 Switch is the only real Switch game. Chances are, this will be the only game for a while that uses HD Rumble and other features, until probably ARMS.

I know that, as a journalist, I need to get this game. Not only is it a first-party Nintendo game, reviewing the Switch would be impossible without it. If you've been looking forward to the Switch, you need to get 1-2 Switch.

  1. The game is nothing more than gimmicky motion crap that should be a pack in with the switch.

Fire Emblem Has The Potential To Become Huge

We just got one of the best Nintendo Directs ever. Concise editing, to-the-point writing, awesome announcments, and an exciting voice-over by Yuri Lowenthal really made this presentation a home run. Let's dig into the meat of this greatness.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is my kind of remake. It's not as cut-and-dry as most game remakes these days. Obviously a game would need some polishing up on its 25th anniversary, but this is really a knockout job on Nintendo's part. The original game, Fire Emblem Gaiden, was released in Japan only, but it was a very important game for the series. The innovations of this game shaped the series into what it is today. Nintendo is honoring this by completely rebuilding it from the ground up. They've added beautiful anime cutscenes, 3D graphics, and even a fully 3D free-roam dungeon crawling mechanic. 25 years later and Intelligent Systems is still innovating. I certainly can't wait to get my hands on this game on May 1…

Nintendo Switch Review

Nintendo has always been innovative. They always try to do something new and creative. It doesn't always work, as the Wii U showed us, but they always try. No matter how you feel about Nintendo in recent years, you have to admit that they always try to do something unique. The Switch is no different.

The Nintendo Switch signals a new era of Nintendo. We all know that. However, at its core, it is still very much a Nintendo console, in the best and the worst ways. It comes with all the charm you'd expect. It has a lot of the barriers that are a Nintendo signature at this point. I'm speaking in very vague terms, but there is a lot to say about the Switch. Let's just dig into it.

The specs on the Switch are honestly nothing that impressive. However, as they always have, Nintendo makes the most of them. Although the screen is only 720p, much lower than the modern expectation, the games all look beautiful on the screen. The display is so crisp. I'm sure it will depen…

How I Changed My Mind On The Launch Lineup and 1-2 Switch

If we're being honest, the original Nintendo Switch launch lineup was pretty weak. It featured a measly five games, two of which were third party ports that will likely not sell at all. However, in the five weeks since the Nintendo Switch was fully revealed, this lineup has grown. It's grown a lot.

A lot of games have been added since the initial lineup. The launch that originally consisted of five games is now at least twelve games. I am Setsuna, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, World of Goo, Little Inferno, Human Resource Machine, Snipperclips, and Fast RMX have all been added to the March 3rd release day.

The lineup in general has grown exponentially. Reddit user /u/AbsoluteMagnitude has been consistently updating the original lineup picture with every game announcement. The image above is their most recent version of the wallpaper. There are an incredibly large amount of games here, and the numbers just keep climbing.

Due to the growing launch, I'm a lot more excite…
